About TravNotes

What is it?
TravNotes is a micro-blogging service that allows you to note your travels. Share short notes with friends and family, and quickly log your thoughts while traveling, plan an upcoming trip, or ask questions. Categorize your notes by detsination if you wish. Who created it?
TravNotes was created by Swami Venkataramani, a graduate from Arizona State University, currently working as a .NET consultant. His recent achievement was placing third in the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2004 National Finals, for creating software to assist the Blind.

How's it created?
TravNotes is made using ASP .NET and SQL Server. Icons used on the website are from famfamfam and Crystal Clear. The destinations are fetched from web services provided by Geonames.
